Great Game From Geelong Baycats’s Rudy Jaramillo Not Enough In 3-2 Loss To Waverley
The Geelong Baycats couldn’t capitalize on a great day from Rudy Jaramillo on Sunday, losing 3-2 to Waverley.
In the bottom of the third, the Baycats grabbed the early lead, 2-0. The attack began with a single from Andy Medew followed be a Cameron Gibbons single, plating Chris Webb. The Baycats pushed more runs across when Jaramillo scored on an error.
Jaramillo worked out of five tough spots on the hill, pitching seven innings and allowing no earned runs on four hits.
Jeremy Y got the win for Waverley throwing three innings of shutout baseball striking out three, walking two and surrendering no hits.
Brock Wells took the loss for the Baycats. In his 1 2/3 innings he walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
Waverley took the lead after scoring two runs in the ninth on a two-run home run by Kayne H.
